About Exhibit 1

For nearly twenty years Exhibit 1 has used the ancient tradition of water gilding to apply genuine gold, silver and platinum finishes to picture frames, mirrors and furniture. This technique of applying gold has remained unchanged for over a thousand years and is still the best way of achieving a rich burnish to the gilded finish. Our reputation for the quality of gilding produced at Exhibit 1 has resulted in some the best furniture makers in England using the gilding service that we provide. For interior designers products are produced to their specific designs. Exhibit 1 often produce their own exclusive designs, gilded finishes such as platinum are often used alongside macassar ebony which in turn is given a piano lacquered finish, white gold may be mixed with bleached wenge or a black japanese lacquer. Regardless of the specification, exacting workmanship can be seen in every detail. Whatever the requirement Exhibit 1 is able to produce the finished product.
